Success (to me) =

Sober fun for all who  attend.

Substantial contributions to organizations who aid folks in recovery.

Promoting up and coming talent, most who areĀ fucking amazingĀ but under-promoted – maybe due to their addiction. (Anonymous, and TeeWHY22 blew the doors off the place at the TTC talent show.)

Randy Cusick and Richard Asperger are established comedians whose sets are recovery oriented.

Networking: up and coming talent meet established acts in the industry.

Right now the goal is to build an event where we are  confident we can cover the venue expenses and the contribution to the  beneficiary. (shatterproof).

Any venue can be considered. Here’s the mathematics.

If Alex Banquet Hall wants $2,000. and I want shatterproof to get $800.00

In this example the “nut” is $2800.00.

Using last years numbers we had and average gate of about $11.00.

Soooo, We’d need to sell 255 tickets. With hard work by staff, it’s doable, but if there are parking issues and other guest inconveniences, Alex  Banquet Hall is not worth it.  NOW, if they charged a lot less we could work around parking somehow.

If your guy can handle 150 capacity, I’d say $900.00 venue expense and beneficiary pledge of $800.00 the “nut” is $1700.00. Soooo, we would have to sell  154 tickets. very doable.

Revenue bearing opportunities for the event include:

EventBrite online ticket sales. (solid)

Gate receipts. (solid)

GoFundMe campaign. (un-tested)

Vendor space fees: $50.00 fee plus share of their take.

Live, 50/50 raffles.

Live, Art, electronics, services auctions. (Items hustled from retailers by staff – in exchange for heavy  promotion at the event.)

But we can’t begin shit, without a venue.
